Front and back are the same. Holes are not provided for hanging though they may be drilled into the back if hanging is necessary.
 
Finish is oxidized rust. Variations in rust are to be expected.
Items should be wiped down before hanging, and a clear coat of rust proofing may be used to maintain overall rusted effect.
